This should be an interesting talk.
Our guest speaker will be Dr Emma Storr. Her talk is entitled “Factories and Fevers, 19th Century Child Health”. The talk will explore the experience of children living close to or working in factories and mills in the 19th Century. The two major hazards faced by the children were the hazardous environment and working conditions in the mills and secondly the consequences of living in the poor, overcrowded and insanitary housing of the time.
The meeting will be using the Zoom platform again. We will open the meeting at 10.00am for a start at 10.30am
