If you wish to explore Wakefield’s Waterfront please download and print: A Walk Around Wakefield’s Waterfront.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Sources for the History of Wakefield  Waterfront please view our downloadable guide.

During the Waterfront Project we recorded the memories of a number of people who had lived or worked on the Waterfront.  Excerpts from sixteen of these have now been added to YouTube on a Wakefield Waterfront channel or can be found by searching on YouTube for ‘Wakefield Waterfront’.

A selection of images from the Waterfront Project and links to the website and the film have been added to HistoryPin, a digital, user-generated archive of historical photos, videos, audio recordings and personal recollections that uses Google maps to place them geographically.  The Waterfront Project images include both historical photographs and photographs of the events that Society members and the general public were involved in.
