Wakefield Civic Society meeting about the Civic Quarter plans
Wednesday 28 July 21 7.30pm
You can join Wakefield Civic Society’s webinar about plans for Wakefield Civic Quarter when Mark Finch from Rushbond and Will Wilkinson of ShedKM architects will talk to Wakefield Civic Society President Kevin Trickett MBE about Rushbond’s plans to develop the former police station and old Court House in Wood Street along with the Rishworth Street car parks and Coroners Court on Northgate.
Rushbond are consulting on the detailed plans, in advance of expected planning applications this Summer, showing how they intend to convert the police station into homes, with new housing on the car parks and the Coroners Court converted into serviced apartments – with the old Court House being at the heart of the plans to create a community hub.
The development will grow the city centre residential community, bringing potential new customers for local businesses, bars and restaurants.
This event will be a Zoom webinar – only the speakers will be visible on screen. If you wish to ask questions or raise matters for discussion, you will be able to do so via the on-line Q&A and chat facility during the webinar. The link for the webinar will be sent out on the day of the event to everyone who has booked a place.
