The Ridings of Yorkshire Society annual conference

The Ridings of Yorkshire Society annual conference
6th June Scarborough Library

Information from The Ridings of Yorkshire Society:

The group is dedicated to the study and research of Yorkshire’s past and aims to hold a multidisciplinary conference. We will be having a mix of academic and non-academic speakers with papers spanning from ancient history to the 20th century across the Yorkshire region, and covering fields such as history, literature, and archaeology.

We will also be having two exciting keynote speakers:

Dr David Pendleton, a historian whose research focuses on sport, leisure and maritime history.

Professor Jo Fletcher, an Egyptologist and accomplished scholar, researcher and archaeologist whose work encompasses Egypt, the ancient Near East, Greece and Rome.

We are delighted that registration is now open for audience members, and tickets are free as always. Please use the following link to book your ticket: https://ridingsofyorkshiresociety.co.uk/register2025/

The programme outline can be viewed on the registration page, with a full PDF programme being available on our website shortly.
