Talks on Westgate for Heritage Open days

Wakefield Historical Society are providing an hour of short talks about Westgate on Saturday 11 September at Unity Hall Westgate, 1.30 – 2.30 pm. There will also be a display by the Society about the history of Westgate, and a bookstall. This is part of a larger event hosted by ‘Forgotten Women of Wakefield’ about Westgate and includes workshops and craft events.

WHS talks include:

  • The Elephant and Castle by Shirley Levon
  • Thomas Waller Gissing by David Scriven
