‘The Wakefield Historical Society research group met on 9th April at Wakefield Library where we were given more information about the Civic Art Project by Heritage Officer Tegwen Roberts and a presentation by Natalie Rudd, art historian, who has audited the collection.
246 objects ranged from oil paintings to fine art and included photographs, social history items and topographical scenes.
The research group will hopefully be adding to information already known about the art in the possession of Wakefield Council and any information we uncover as part of our research will be part of the Our Stories project.’
