Information from York Archaeology Volunteers:
“The Summer Intake for York Archaeology Volunteers is now open. A variety of positions are available for anyone wishing to meet new people, share their passion for history or archaeology, or support the York Archaeology in engaging visitors with the rich heritage and archaeology of York. This intake we are offering opportunities to volunteer at the world famous JORVIK Viking Centre, and at Barley Hall; a restored medieval town house once home to the Priors of Nostell and a Lord Mayor of York.
We are welcoming applications for our Summer 2024 Volunteer intake until the 11th of July 2024. Further information on volunteering roles at our attractions can be found in the ‘Get Involved‘ section of the York Archaeology website. Please direct any enquiries to volunteer@yorkat.co.uk
