The latest meeting of the Civic Art Research Group took place at the Gissing House yesterday and we were joined by Tegwen Roberts, WMDC Heritage Development Manager, and her colleagues, John Whitaker and Steph Webb from Wakefield Museums and Castles, Natalie Walton ward councillor and WMDC heritage champion, and Natalie Rudd who evaluated and did initial research for the project. The lively and interesting meeting found us giving overviews of our research and the interesting facts we had found out about our research subjects. Next steps were discussed and excitingly our next meeting will be at the museum store at Ossett where we will be able to view some of the portraits.
