Heritage Open Days 12th – 21st September
Although the Heritage Open Days are well over a month away, it is worth seeing what is available so far, and book the visits that particularly interest you. From the search page you can chose how far away you wish to look. Included within a 5 mile radius from Wakefield were:
Talk at Oulton Hall by Dr Patrick Ayres ‘The Architecture of Landscape: Humphry Repton’s commission for John Blayds Esq’
Waterton’s Parkland and Wall: tour – booking required
Stanley Ferry Workshop Open Day
Wakefield Museum Store Tour – booking required
‘The Kings of England came to Rothwell and all that’ – booking required
Caphouse Machine Rally – working machinery & vintage vehicles.
At present, the Gissing Centre in Wakefield does not have regular visiting hours, but it is open for the Heritage Open Days – so do take the opportunity to visit!
Many others are available, and no doubt more will be added before September:
