Theatre Royal Wakefield’s Heritage Open Day 8 September
Information from the Theatre:
On Sunday 8 September we are hosting a Heritage Open Day event and opening our doors to the public as part of our 130 year Anniversary celebrations.
Explore our beautiful auditorium, first built by renowned Victorian theatre architect, Frank Matcham, in 1894. Visit an exhibition on our history to learn more about our 130 year residency on Westgate. Take part in fun activities for the whole family in our Walker Studio, including our adult and kids tombolas.
The event is free and is running from 10am to 4pm so pop in whenever.
There will be short sharings of work in the auditorium at 10.45am and midday, as well as ticketed behind-the-scenes tours of the building at midday and 2pm that can be purchased here: Heritage Open Day Tours | Theatre Royal Wakefield
Advanced ticket bookings are required to attend our behind-the-scenes tours but are not required to attend the Open Day.
