All To Play For at Abbey House Museum takes us on a sprint through the history of sport, play and competition in Leeds. Showcasing stories that reflect the dynamic history of play in Leeds, the exhibition also celebrates our instinctive want to compete for trophies.
From giant vegetable growing to roller skating, All To Play For features professional and amateur sports, including some of the lesser known aspects of play that are popular today.
Working with local clubs and players, the exhibition will show the breadth and diversity of sporting activity in Leeds. It will also take a nostalgic look back at Leeds Children’s Day which was a highlight (or lowlight!) of the year for generations of Leeds schoolchildren.
