Information from YAHS:
We have recently been advised that arrangements have been made by the University of Leeds to replace a damaged area of flooring in one of the areas (Stack 2) used by the Special Collections department (now also known as Cultural Collections) in the Brotherton Library. We understand that the work is due to commence on Monday 24th March and is scheduled to last for 1 week and 2 days. During this time, access to the collections in the affected area will be limited and so retrievals for visitors will also be affected.
It is, of course, always sensible to contact the Special Collection department before making a visit, to ensure that items can be made available for consultation, but clearly it is particularly advisable to do this in the present circumstances.
The Special Collections department can be contacted via specialcollections@library.leeds.ac.uk or
by ‘phone on 0113 343 5518
